Maine Justice Foundation Seeking ESO Endowment Fund Applications

The ESO Endowment Fund was established by a generous anonymous gift to the Maine Justice Foundation in 2011. Its purpose is to further the Foundation’s mission in Downeast Maine. The Foundation seeks applications to address the civil legal needs of low income and vulnerable people in Washington and Hancock Counties over three years beginning in calendar year 2020. Approximately $100,000 is available annually for one to three grants.

Here are two especially important dates:

  • Friday, June 7, 2019: Organizations intending to apply must submit to the Foundation a brief letter of intent to apply, along with any questions about this request for proposals and application packet.
  • Friday, July 26, 2019Applications are due at the  Maine Justice Foundation.
